EPFO Inspection and ECR Payment Issue
EPFO inspection was conducted at our organization, and they requested us to pay contributions through ECR for non-enrolled employees from April 2015 to May 2016. I have already paid Rs. 186,818.00 for 5 months (April 2015 to August 2015). Subsequently, I also paid Rs. 179,369.00 for another 5 months (September 2015 to January 2016). However, due to an issue with online payment, SBI issued banker's cheques for the same amount.
Now, we wish to pay for the next 9 months, but when we upload the ECR, we receive an error message stating: "UAN is not linked to your establishment found on line numbers: [1-29]." Our HR consultant informed us that this error message pertains to the Date of Joining. Although we have already enrolled employees from April 2016, we are unable to make payments for the period from September 2015 to March 2016 for the same employee. Is there any way to change the profile or Date of Joining? Please guide us on how to resolve this issue and what steps to take to generate the ECR and ECR Challan.
