Dear Seniors, I had created an ECR (Electronic Challan Cum Return-EPF) for the wages month of July 2013 and uploaded it. After paying the challan, I noticed an error. I mistakenly selected permanent disability for a specific member who did not work that month. His NCP was 31 days, as he is a contract employee.

Titan, there is an option to revise the ECR uploaded online. You need to sort out any errors in the ECR filed during the financial year, consolidate, and draw up the members' names and account numbers for whom errors are filed, along with the changes required against other members. However, you need to liaise with the case worker handling your company account and provide an explanation for the revised ECR along with a covering letter. This option can only be exercised once a year. During the revision period of the ECR, no PF claim forms can be submitted. Additionally, this option is valid prior to the finalization of yearly accounts and not thereafter.

By the time of registration, we had provided the date of coverage as 02.06.2015. However, when updating the June-15 ECR, we mistakenly mentioned the date of joining as 01.06.2015 instead of 02.06.2015. The payment for this was made through SBI net banking. Currently, the payment is still in process. We are wondering if it is possible to cancel the ECR and re-upload it, or what steps should be taken in this case. Please guide us as soon as possible.
