Hello All, I previously worked for 5 years at TCS and 1 year at Wipro, and now I have moved to another company. Both TCS and Wipro have their own PF trusts and have provided me with respective PF numbers. The UAN number generated at TCS was shared with Wipro by me. I also did not transfer my PF amount from the TCS trust to the Wipro trust.
Linking New PF Account to Old UAN
Please let me know, when a new PF account is created in my new company (which does not have a trust), can it be linked to my old UAN number? Do I have an option to transfer or not to transfer my TCS and Wipro trust PF amounts?
Future PF Account Number Consistency
Also, in the future, if I move to a different company, please let me know if my PF account number will be the same as in my third company, considering both my third and fourth companies are non-exempt.
Thanks,
Aditya

Dear Aditya,
Your UAN number remains the same, no matter how many companies you may change. You can transfer your previous PF amount to your new P.F account. To do so, you need to fill out Form 13 and submit it to your current employer. Additionally, you must link all your PF accounts to your UAN number.
Transferring PF from an Exempted Establishment to a Non-Exempted Establishment can be a bit challenging based on my experience.

Trust funds are exempted establishments, while the EPF is non-exempted. It is doubtful that the exempted trust fund UAN will get linked with non-exempted establishments. However, a transfer claim can be filed with the trust to transfer your accounts to the present non-exempted establishment.
UAN Number Consistency and PF Transfer Process
The UAN number remains the same throughout your career. For the transfer of your PF balance from the above-exempted trusts, you are required to fill in Form No. 13 (Revised) in two sets—one for each of these companies—and send them through your new employer. The trust will transfer the PF amount to your new account directly and inform you of the same.
However, for linking your previous EPS membership period, you may do so online in the EPFO members portal directly without the need for exchanging any forms physically.

I still have a doubt on exempted trust UAN with regular UAN combination. Both are distinguished separately, as the exempted trust funds are not liable to submit monthly ECR. They submit half-yearly or annual records only to EPF. So, the EPF does not have the passbook of Exempted Trust Fund members.
Thanks guys.. @SWETLEY..Can u pls let me know if online pf transfer is not available from PF trusts to new EPF account.

Dear Aditya,
Online PF transfer facility is not available for Exempted PF Trusts as of today. Therefore, you are required to fill in Form No. 13 (Revised) manually and send it to the respective PF Trusts who will settle your PF amount and send the cheque to your new employer or RPFC, as the case may be.
However, for EPS membership transfer, you can avail the benefit of the online facility in the Employee portal. I hope the above clears all your doubts.
Thank you
