Hi Madam/Sir,
I have a doubt in ESIC employee details. More than five employees have been working in the past five years. They had an increment from 15k to 17k, so they did not pay any ESIC amount in the last 6 months. Now, their salary amount is 17k.
How can we proceed to the next step to pay the ESIC amount? How can we continue their ESI benefits? We already know the ESIC IP number, but we don't know the date of appointment. Kindly help us.

add their IP number date of joining 01/01/2017, portal will fetch the data and will link them again, , print TIC and handover to them with employer signature ...... start paying contribution
You mean your own employees or others? For own employees, just guess a period and look in form 5, select any half-yearly period, and download. It's better to ask the employee if they preserve their "smart cards" issued by ESIC.
In our company, we have 30 employees working, based on three contractors, and 13 employees are in the staff category. Should I debit ESIC & PF amounts? Kindly provide suggestions.
Each contractor has ten employees. Do we need to debit the contractor as well? What documents should we collect from the contractor?

Dear Dhana.S,
The organizations under the ambit of ESIC for the first time will need to recover 1% as monthly contributions from wages payable to company employees or workmen engaged through contractors and pay together with the employer's 3% contribution, totaling 4% of wages if they are located in implemented areas. This is as per the new notification dated 06-10-2016, effective from 1st January 2017.
Please carefully understand the meaning of "Wages" under the ESI Act.
