Dear Friends,
The Government of Punjab has carried out an amendment in the Punjab Labour Welfare Fund Act, 1965. Now, employers can retain the unpaid wages of an employee for only up to one year, instead of three years. After one year, they must submit the unpaid wages to the Welfare Commissioner, Punjab. A gazette notification of the amendment dated 21.05.2010 is attached herewith for the information of members.
