Hello sir,

I am Gaurav, and I am working in Pune at an MNC. In the service industry, my company provides manpower to other companies. I joined this company, but my client was not satisfied with my work, so they terminated me. For that reason, I resigned from my company on August 31, 2016. However, to date, I have not received my salary for the past three months.

What should I do? I have not informed my company about the salary issue. What will happen regarding this matter? Please suggest what steps I should take.

Gaurav

Your query may be surprising to many, as until now, we have been inundated with emails where there have been complaints of not receiving salary/wages despite employees leaving the company either through resignation or termination. Your case is unique, as even after resigning, you are still receiving your salary credited to your bank account. Do not worry, as you are not at fault; you have simply informed them. They will provide instructions on how you can return the money.

This situation highlights the lack of coordination between the HR and Accounts sections of your former company. Hopefully, they will take punitive action against the official responsible for this oversight.

Regards,
BS Kalsi
