Dear Friends,

My friend has left the UAE due to his father's death 10 days ago. He is currently on probation. While in India, he has been offered a job by a Saudi company. Now, he does not want to return to the UAE as he is only on a one-day notice, so it would be a waste of time and money to come back for just one day.

My question is, how can his visa be cancelled while he is in India? Is there a way for the employer to cancel his visa without his original passport or without him being present in the UAE? Also, can he get a Saudi visa if his UAE visa is not cancelled? How can he obtain the cancelled stamp on his passport? Is it really important to have that stamp or not?

Please help urgently. Thanks.

Hi!

Your friend will not have any trouble applying for a Saudi visa. The only thing he needs to do is apply for an additional passport as the UAE employment visa and Saudi visa (employment visa) cannot be stamped on the same passport.

Additionally, your friend's employer can cancel his employment visa after six months of his exit. For this cancellation, your friend does not need to be present physically. However, make sure your friend's labor card is with his employer. If not, he will need to send it for cancellation.

I hope this information will be helpful.

Thank you for your reply. Just one more thing, if he doesn't come back, will his employer put him on the runaway list of the government, and will he be banned forever from the UAE? In Dubai, if you leave without canceling your visa, you will receive a lifetime ban, and if you return, you will be jailed.

Thanks

Dear Salmish,

I assume that it may be you (friend) who is trying to acquire information about VISA CANCELLATION PROCESS.

I have no idea about UAE VISA CANCELLATION PROCESS, but whatever Ms. Sohini had posted is the fact. Without the ORIGINAL PASSPORT, it is not possible to cancel the visa. However, the visa will expire proportionally to its validity.

a) If any employee is holding a valid EMPLOYMENT VISA pertaining to GCC countries - SAUDI, QATAR, BAHRAIN, OMAN, KUWAIT EMPLOYMENT VALID VISA, then one can proceed further for STAMPING - UAE EMPLOYMENT VISA, as there are NO RESTRICTIONS imposed by the UAE MINISTRY.
b) To the contrary, one can apply for any GCC COUNTRY EMPLOYMENT VISA but, for PHYSICAL VISA STAMPING (in your passport), the other country's (GCC) EMPLOYMENT VISA should be CANCELED or should have expired.

I strongly advise your friend to travel back to UAE, submit his Resignation with ONE MONTH NOTICE, get all your documents cleared. Meanwhile, your new employer can process your visa, and you can fly to KSA from UAE. This is the best available option for your friend if he doesn't want to lose his job.

With profound regards,

No need to cancel his UAE visa; he can apply for a Saudi visa on the same passport copy, no need for any new passport. Also, on one passport, you can have both visas, whether it's valid or invalid.

He can’t get KSA visa if he is not cancelling UAE visa as the GCC countries have some rules on visa cancellation and issuance. Pon

Dear Friends,

I am new to this forum, but I hope I am on the right page to get a solution for my problem. My best friend left Kuwait due to his sister's death two months ago on emergency vacation. However, he cannot go back to Kuwait due to some problems. While in India, he has been offered a job by a UAE company with a good salary. Therefore, he does not want to return to Kuwait.

Question About UAE Work Visa

My question is, can he get a UAE work visa on the same passport if his work visa for Kuwait has not been cancelled?

Please help me by providing your valuable feedback. This is urgent.

Thanks and regards,
Anil Kumar

GCC have common set of rules on Visa. Check with your employer, don’t hide the information. Otherwise they create a hell a lot of problems. Pon

Visa Cancellation and Travel Concerns

I came back to India from the UAE three years ago for my marriage, and since then, I have not returned to the UAE. My question is, how can I cancel my visa? My boss has passed away, and my company no longer exists. I asked my GM to cancel my visa, but he did not agree to it. I informed him that if he needed my passport, I could send it to him, but he did not reply.

So, my question is, can I go to Oman without canceling my visa in the UAE? My friends say that the laws in Oman and the UAE are the same, and without canceling my UAE visa, I cannot go to Oman. Is this true? Please advise me.

Thank you.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Please advise me. I left the U.A.E. in 2011 for my annual vacation, but due to some family reasons, I didn't return to the U.A.E. Now, I would like to cancel from India through the U.A.E. embassy. Is it possible, and how long will it take?
