Please find attached the order dated 28.8.2014 passed by the Delhi High Court. The court has held that even casual building workers must be covered under the PF, and no exemptions can be granted from the Act.

I have some queries about hiring and compensating casual labor. Currently, 33 laborers are working under a contractor who ensures 100% compliance with statutory requirements. However, due to additional tasks such as loading and unloading, we need to hire extra casual labor on a wages basis. How can we ensure compensation for these workers since they are not regular employees? For example, if a worker named "X" is present today, it is possible that Mr. X may not return for the next three months. Is there a way to provide compensation for such casual laborers in this situation?
