Prima facie, it looks illegal. Provide more details such as the nature of the company, your job/position, tenure of service, etc., to get better advice.

Sir, I am working as a senior accountant. Even my company deducts even a single leave. However, the company deducts the Sunday leave also if the employee is absent for 5 days in one week, then they will deduct 6 days' salary, including Sunday. Please let me know if this is the correct procedure or not.

If your company is registered under the Shops & Establishment Act, then you are entitled to 14 days of privilege leave on full pay, 14 days of half pay medical leave (medical certificate required), and 10 days of casual leave with full pay. Apart from that, maternity leave is applicable as per the Act. Depending on the nature of your establishment, the exact leave can be calculated. From your above comment, it appears that your company is violating the rules.

Sir, my company is registered under the Factory Act, not under the Shop and Establishment Act. Please guide me on how many and which leave the employee is entitled to avail if the company is registered under the Factory Act. Also, provide the section/clause for the same.

Your privilege leave will start after the month of December of any year, and you will obtain it in January. For example, if you work for 280 days in any year, you will be entitled to 14 days of leave as a minimum. You can claim these days off at any time. However, you cannot claim casual leave. If your company wishes to grant you casual leave, they may do so.
