To manage the inventory, you need to buy some retail software. If you buy software, it will help you in analyzing:
a) Sales per category
b) Sales per geographical location
c) Inventory Turnover Ratio
d) Inventory Carrying Cost
e) Ageing of the inventory, and so on.
The above analysis cannot be done merely on MS Excel.
