I am currently working in a company where we are still paid in cash. I am planning to switch to a different company soon. Please help me in making a salary slip. They offer me a monthly salary of 16000. In the other company, I have stated my annual CTC as 2 lakh. Please assist me in this regard.

Nishant, If caught lying, it will cost you your job. If the company does not give you salary slip, ask them to provide you with Salary certificate. Regards, Ashutosh Thakre

Even for a single month’s salary certificate granted by the company may help you to help you to show the correct figures of your annual CTC.

It appears that you are still hiding the facts. Please come out with the truth and genuine problem to seek expert advice. Have you been provided with the company's appointment order? If so, the salary particulars must have been shown, i.e., the gross salary payable per month. Whatever was agreed upon should have been paid. If there is any deviation, you have the right to question the lesser payment.
Now, regarding the payment of salary in cash, according to the Income Tax Act, 1961, if the net salary payable exceeds Rs.20,000 per month, it should be paid through a cheque, not in cash. If a salary slip has not been provided, you can request the company to provide you with a salary certificate or use your appointment order as authentication.
If you wish to move to another company, you are free to do so. The company's door is always open for both entry and exit.

Your appointment letter and any increment letters should help. Having said that, you are on the wrong track by declaring the salary as Rs. 2.00 Lakhs when it is not accurate. However, it depends on how your new company perceives it. Be cautious as your old company may not provide a relieving letter, which the new company may require. Double-check everything.

It is quite a common tendency among many to quote a higher CTC and then find ways of trying to bring documents to support that inflated figure. Most companies have a fair idea of the salary structure in the market.
Starting your career with inflated salary figures can create totally avoidable trouble. No company will be happy if their would-be employees quote wrong figures of salary. Your salary is 16000*12 = 192000. Ask your employer to provide salary slips, which most modern employers do provide.
