Hi all,

I am having EPF-related clarification. Please clarify my below doubt.

Company has 25 employees with all earning a basic salary of 15000 and above. However, the company is not yet registered under the EPF Act.

Now, my doubt is: Is the employer liable for EPF registration?

Please update me; it's urgent.

Dear Lakshmi,

PF registration is mandatory if the employee count is above 20, irrespective of their salaries. The limit of 15000/- does not mean that PF is not applicable for above 15000/- (Basic + DA).

ESIC registration is mandatory for 10 or more employees, even if all employees' gross is above 15000/-.

Hi, Form 11 is the form that has to be taken from the employee if the employee wants an exemption from PF for a salary less than 15000. Above 15000, there is no need for Form 11. Form 11 states that an employee can get PF exemption if he doesn't have PF in his earlier company. Registration is mandatory if the employee count is more than 20.
