I am working in an IT company, and our company's work involves developing healthcare software for people. Could you kindly suggest under which act we need to register our company in ESIC (Factory Act or Shop and Establishment Act)? Additionally, please share the list of compliance requirements we have to follow on a monthly or yearly basis.

Dear Pradeep,

First, find out whether you have obtained a Registration Certificate under the Applicable Shops & Commercial Establishments Act. After this, consider obtaining ESI, EPF, and PT Registration if applicable.

Considering the nature of the activity carried out, I think you do not fall under the purview of The Factories Act, 1947.
