The Factories Act stipulates only earned leave, which is one day for every 15 days of working in the previous calendar year. However, CL is mentioned in the Standing Orders Act where it is 7 days in a year, and the Model Standing Order is applicable to all establishments except those factories having certified standing orders.

Dear Kumaracme,
The Factories Act stipulates only earned leave, which is one day for every 20 days of working. Please correct.
Casual leave depends on the State Industrial Establishment Act; most states provide 7 days of casual leave.
Thank you.
