How Do I Cancel My Retired Father's Pension and What Are the Financial Implications?

My Father is a retired private sector employee. He retired 4 years back and is getting pension now. What is the procedure to cancel the pension and how much does he get if he cancels it?

Dear Hsupadrasta,

I think your father is receiving a pension from EPS/EPF. If so, there is no alternative other than receiving a monthly pension. There is no option for cancellation or one-time withdrawal.

Are you talking about the commutation of pension? Refer to this link: [Pension Schemes - EPFO, Delhi North](http://epfdehradun.gov.in/Pension_schemes.aspx). Please visit your nearest EPF office to get clarifications.
