Provident Fund Withdrawal for Expats

For expats, the Provident Fund (PF) can only be withdrawn after retirement. If PF is deducted and there is a Social Security Agreement (SSA) between that country and India, the PF can be withdrawn as per the SSA. If they have produced a Certificate of Coverage (COC), the PF will not be deducted in India.

Thanks & Regards,

Hi all, I joined an organization three years ago and worked there for only seven months due to some problems, which prevented me from continuing. Now, I want to withdraw my PF amount. Is it possible now that I have left the job (7th July 2011)?

Thank you for your suggestion. I have another doubt. If an employee joins a new firm on the 25th or in the middle of the month, are they eligible to have PF deducted from their salary? Is there a minimum number of working days required for PF deductions to be made?
