I need to ask, is the notice period required after the service agreement is over? It was written in my appointment letter that your service agreement is up to 2.5.14, and after that, you need to give three calendar months' notice.

If once the agreement is over, how can the notice period still remain? Please guide.

What I think is that once I have completed the tenure mentioned in the appointment letter, which was until 2.5.2014, the terms and conditions are also over. So, why is a notice period still required? Secondly, the service agreement was not renewed after the said date. Can you tell me the clause where it is written that a notice period is required after the conditions I mentioned?

End of Service Agreement and Notice Period

When the service agreement ends, the employer-employee relationship also comes to an end. The notice period is only valid as long as the employer-employee relationship exists. Once the contract of service concludes, there is no need for a notice period.

PSMOHOLKAR is correct. Once the agreement has expired and is not renewed before or on the expiry date, there is no need to provide a notice period after the agreement has ended.
