Working in an NGO as an HR Executive - Will It Be Considered Valuable Experience?

I have recently started my first job in an NGO, but I am unsure if this experience will be recognized. Can anyone provide guidance?

Hi Abhipriya, if you are getting good exposure to handle all HR functions and learning about all HR areas, then there should not be a problem in the future. However, the appointment letter and all other related documents should state that you are an HR personnel in that NGO. Let me know if you need any help!

It is clearly mentioned in my appointment letter that I am working there as an HR Executive, but what I am doing is recruitment only. I'm confused about whether to continue or quit the job and search for other opportunities.

It's better to gain experience from your current organization; stick with the company for a good duration. NGO experience would also be counted in your work experience. You can ask for exposure in your work with your reporting manager.

Happy Working!!!
