Hi All, I have completed my PG in HRM (MHRM) and have 3 years of experience in teaching PG students in the HR department. Now, I want to transition into a career in HR and have also obtained an Advanced Diploma in HR. I am seeking advice on how to best prepare for interviews in the HR field.

I think there are no structured questions set up for interviews. Please go through the following; I think this will help you:

1. Be calm.
2. Know your company well. (90% of candidates do not know what they have written in their CV)
3. Do not hesitate to answer any questions. If you do not know the answer, don't stop the conversation. Try to steer the conversation in your way.

Thanks.

Knowing about the company you have applied to is important, as pointed out. You also need to list your achievements so far and rehearse presenting them in a manner that will be appreciated. Correlate your experience so far with the competencies required for the job you have applied for. Be confident, show interest in the company, ask questions to gather information about the job and the company, and demonstrate your enthusiasm to be a part of the organization.

Hope you find this advice useful.

Pavan
