Please let me know how to make a salary structure for employees offered a consolidated salary where there is no PF and ESI. Also, let me know about the TDS deduction on this salary. Very urgent. It's a travel and tourism company operating in Kerala.

If you can tell the approximate salary, then you might get some advice accordingly. As you are saying there is no ESI and PF, then I don't think a salary structure is required.

TDS is applicable only if the employee's gross earnings are above 2 lakh per annum. If it is below 2 lakh, then there is no TDS applicability either.

Thank you.

Thank you, but please clarify if TDS can be deducted on the consolidated salary. For example, if any employee is paid above 15,000 as a consolidated salary, how should TDS be deducted?

Salary Structure Components

Is a salary structure necessary with only Basic, HRA, TA, and Telephone allowance, or can anything else be included in the structure? Please let me know very clearly; it will be very helpful to me.

For a consolidated salary of 15,000, there is no need for TDS. If the annual salary exceeds 200,000, then TDS is applicable; otherwise, there is no need for TDS.

Salary Structure Components

The salary structure will include:
- Basic
- HRA
- Conveyance Allowance
- Medical Allowance
- Special Allowance

There is no Telephone allowance in the structure. If the telephone is used purely for office purposes, the amount shall be paid directly to the telephone service provider instead of paying it to the employee.

Thank you.
