Hi friends,

We are from one family, but belong to several countries and states. So, I kindly request all of you to avoid quoting things in regional languages. This may affect individuals who are unable to understand the quoted content. Please take this into consideration.

Thanks & Regards,
Poorna

That's a valid request. I request on behalf of everyone to avoid using vernacular languages. Please use the common language (i.e., English) for the benefit of all of us. I do understand that while posting some jokes in the Humour section, we find it difficult to post them in English. I don't include the Humour section, but all other topics can be discussed in the common language.

Expecting everyone's cooperation on this. Correct me if I am wrong.

Dear Poorna,

Cool down. Don't feel bad. Don't expect everyone to reply immediately. Give them time. Some might disagree. At least 2 are FOR this when NO ONE is against this suggestion. That itself is more than enough. What do you say?

Hi Poorna Chandra,

Good suggestion. I hope nobody disagrees. It's not about distrusting other languages but about maintaining uniformity, so that all members will receive the message as desired.

What do you say, friends? Am I right? Correct me in case I'm wrong.

Poorna,

At times, people find it difficult to attach an Ebook of a huge memory size, and that's why they prefer to send it to people who are really interested in that material. I am not sure whether some are misusing this or cheating people.

Regarding the usage of regional languages in the Support forum, it is definitely not a good practice. The usage of regional language should be limited to the Humour Section only.

Hello friends,

I too stand with Poorna. Please use English exclusively for important topics, except for some topics like humor and salutations like namaskar. Please note that many of the members present on this site are Indians, and most Indians know Hindi, so utilize it as well since it is our National Language. Don't ignore it.

If you are posting a reply to a topic posted by our Indian members, I request Indian members on this site to reply in Hindi. If you don't know Hindi, English is always there to serve the purpose.

Will anybody agree with me?

Cheers, Hanuma

Dear Hanuma,

Thank you for your reply. However, we should understand one thing - it's not possible for every Indian to know Hindi. I love Hindi as it is our national language. It may be widely spoken in Northern India, but in the Southern part, only about 25% of the population knows it.

What I am trying to convey is that Cite HR is like a family to us, and we are all members of this great family with English as our common language. Therefore, please refrain from quoting other regional languages in this forum, even in jest. The language that unites all of us and integrates our thoughts and knowledge on this platform is English.

Hence, I humbly request everyone to avoid using regional languages in their quotes. Does anyone else agree?

Regards,
Poorna.

Hi Poorna,

I too accept that South Indians are not proficient in Hindi. I am a South Indian, but I know Hindi better than some people. It does not mean everyone should know Hindi. Yeah, I agree with you.

Hi Poorna,

It doesn't make much sense asking to post everything in Hindi, which even some North Indians can't understand. So, it's better to use English to communicate, but one should never forget Hindi. That should be the motto. Moreover, if every South Indian can learn Hindi, that would be great.

Once, I went to Delhi. There I took an auto, and the driver asked if I am from the south. I said yes, I am from Andhra. With a little smile, he said, "You people in Southern India do not know Hindi, but everyone speaks in English, which is not our language." I didn't know how to answer him. So, I feel we have to learn Hindi. What do you say, Poorna?

Certainly! Here is the corrected and properly formatted text:

---

Yeh of course Hanuma... But can you tell me? How many people in India know Hindi? Hindi, it's our national language, but most people don't know. In this site, the only thing is to share our views and fun with everyone, and the same should be reached. If it hasn't been reached, then sharing won't do anything. That's why I am seeking all your cooperation. Am I right, Hanuma?

Regards, Poorna. 😂 😂 😂

I have corrected the spelling, grammar, punctuation errors and ensured proper paragraph formatting. Let me know if you need any further assistance.

Yeah, knowledge is an ocean. It has to be shared. If it is not shared, there is no knowledge. Yeah, you are right. Most people don't know Hindi. That's our bad luck. Being Indians, we have to feel ashamed of telling that fact. I am with you in this.
