Hi friends,
Can anyone provide me with a form or format for the daily report of the work done by recruiters in a consultancy? A similar kind of report made by marketing people is called DSR (Daily Sales Report).
In fact, I also want to know if anyone has a rule for giving reports in consultancies, or anybody who takes these reports. Anything that helps to check the daily work.
Thanks,
Dips

Deepali,
I can't pass judgment on all recruiting consultancies in India. I think there are 2 American subsidiaries who use such reports:
1. Daily Submissions Report, which goes to the recruitment manager.
2. Quarterly KRA Report, which is sent by the recruitment manager to the Head Office.
I will provide you with the contents, and you can tailor them to your needs.
Daily Submission Report:
Column 1 (Vertical)
Name of the Party Visited
===========================
Now, all horizontal headings:
1. Current Customer
2. New Prospects
3. Requirement, if any (e.g., programmer, with qualifications defined)
4. Priority (high/medium/low)
5. Target (e.g., how many, e.g., two)
6. Duration (time taken—say 4 hours)
7. Submissions (yes or no)
8. Comments
====================================
The Recruitment Manager can consolidate these reports into one weekly format.

I have left out the quarterly reporting at this stage.

Dear Mr. Leo,
Sir, I can't believe the first reply from you. But as usual, you have the keys to my questions. I searched a lot to contact you, even on LinkedIn and AllExperts, but everywhere they asked for your email id, which I don't have. Anyways, this was my first post after a long gap here, and to my pleasant surprise, I got a reply from you. See, it's true where there is a will, there's a way.
So thank you so much for this, sir.
Lots of regards,
Deepali

Hi Deepali,
I checked your format, and it looks good. However, I feel there is a need for a summarized weekly and monthly report. As we know, recruitment is a numbers game, so more emphasis needs to be put on the number of resumes hunted and processed. The summary can be added in footnotes.
How about having your report created in such a way that each Excel sheet should have tabs day-wise? For example, 1st Aug, 2nd Aug, 3rd Aug... 7th Aug... Weekly Summary... Monthly Summary, and so on.
What do you say, members?

Thanks for your suggestion, but if you check this is only a daily report. And I am working on Weekly and a monthly format also.
It's true that recruitment is a game, and you can see in my format that candidates' names and numbers are given for each position. In my opinion, it helps in many ways:
1. For follow-up in recruiters' absence
2. For future reference
3. Single-window contact for all resumes sent
4. The total number of resumes sent with their contact numbers available for urgent communication
5. Seniors can easily check the status in the absence or presence of the concerned recruiter.
But definitely, I am going to add the number of resumes sent, the number of shortlisted, and the number of rejected resumes in the weekly report.
You see, it gives you the complete status of each resume for each position daily, the total number of resumes sent/shortlisted/rejected for each position weekly, and the status of each position monthly.
Hope I am understood.
What say???
