I have work experience with one of the big Indian retail houses. The recruitment is so far done based on requirements. If the requirement is at the Junior level, then we proceed with paper ads for walk-ins. The same approach is followed when there is an opening of a store as a mass number is required.
If the requirement is less for the junior level, then we proceed with consultants and reference recruitments. For Middle level requirements, we complete the process with consultants, job portals, and newspaper ads for walk-ins.
The recruitment process commences with an interview conducted by department managers, followed by the store manager and HR for up to team leaders. For Middle Management level positions, HR shortlists initially, then the interview involves the department head, followed by the Store Manager, Zonal Manager, and HR.
