I have received an offer and an appointment letter to work in London. Could you please suggest what documents are required for the UK visa application and whom I should contact to initiate the visa process? The company has instructed me to join their office before 27/12/2012. Once I obtain the visa, the company will send the air ticket through courier. I am looking forward to your response. Regards

Please find the related gist in the right-hand sidebar. You can pick the material for your in-hand assistance. I shall assist you in a way that will be familiar with the concerned visa.

Since you are going for work, you shall be applicable for a work visa.

Steps to Apply for a UK Work Visa

- Fill the online application form or download and then complete the form VAF1A by hand.

- You need to have your planned itinerary, if applicable, hotel/flight bookings, bank statements showing sufficient financial resources to cover your trip, and documents as proof for applying, such as an employment verification letter from your employer in the U.K.

- You will have to pay a certain amount to The British High Commission for covering the Visa Processing Fee.

- You will have to schedule an appointment with the Visa department (VFS). [Email Removed For Privacy Reasons]

The email should contain: Your Full Name and Surname, Your passport number, Your Visa type, The Visa center where you would like to attend and in which place, The place of your residence and the date in preference to you. The VFS authority will send you an email return with details; print and keep a copy for your reference.

- You have to attend the Visa Office at the desired location and time at least 5 minutes before the interview. Submit your documents there, and your biometric data will be taken. If the U.K. High Commission border authority thinks that your interview is required, they will give you the next available date and time for the interview. However, if they believe the documents provided are sufficient, your visa will be processed without an interview.

- You may also seek many agencies that deal in visa processing. Contact them for further help.

Regards.

Dear Sharmila Das, please tell me how much I need to have in my bank balance for obtaining a visa. Additionally, provide information on the approximate visa charges. I am not financially stable at the moment.

The company instructed me to contact the designated diplomat, whose details are as follows: Diplomat Terry Nicholas, British High Commission, Mumbai, India. He has also shared his contact number.

My concern is, how can I trust him? What if he deceives me? Please give me some advice on this matter.

Thank you.

Sure, but they didn't conduct any interview. They simply sent one interview form with some questions. I answered and replied to their email address. After two days, they sent me an appointment letter. Can I forward it to your email address for you to check if it's true or not? Can I believe them? Please suggest to me. Also, please send me your email address.

Thank you.

I got your messages. These are just scams. Anything that sounds "too good to be true" is a scam. I searched the web and found that "SUPER JOY HOTEL LONDON and Hilton International Hotel London UK are job scams! No hotel in the UK is going to hire a worker in India when there are..."
