Performance Appraisal Process Guidance Needed

I am Rani, working in a startup software company as an HR Executive. As a fresher, I don't have good knowledge of the performance appraisal process. Could anyone help me with appraising the candidates?

Thank you, sir, for your suggestion. However, I would like to request more information. Currently, we provide salary hikes every 6 months based on employees' performance and work. I am interested in implementing a specific process for this. Could anyone offer additional suggestions?

I second Muralidhar. Please read about the various ways of the performance appraisal process. MBO stands for Management by Objectives, which means you establish certain objectives for the employee to achieve. Then, you assign ratings to each objective and perform the calculations.

360-degree appraisal is a method where you seek feedback from all of the employee's seniors, subordinates, and colleagues to evaluate the employee's performance.

The selection of a method depends on the number of employees you have and the structure of the company. Therefore, plan and decide according to your company's structure. You can choose any method that is easy to implement and can be conducted every six months. Best of luck!
