I am in the Philippines and was hired directly by a company, bound for Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. Everything is ready (visa and ticket). On my flight schedule, I wasn't able to travel due to some reason. What are the consequences? Are they going to file a case against me, or am I going to be banned? Or should I pay all the expenses? Please let me know soon. Thank you.

Like the saying goes: You can't fathom the depth until you step into the pond. First, talk to them and explain the reasons why you didn't travel. Give them another date when you can make it—unless you want to call off the deal permanently, which is a different ballgame altogether. Then you can post the developments for which the members can give focused responses/suggestions—guess that would be a better way to handle your situation.

In addition to what TS has correctly conveyed, there is nothing to panic about if you have proper and authentic reasons for not being able to make the journey. For example, was it due to some family emergencies? If someone was under emergency medical care, do you have documentation to prove it? As long as the reason is genuine and the circumstances compelling, you can expect fair management to condone the matter.

Warm regards.
