This is old stuff and not updated. ESI wages already been increased to 15000.00, still this doc showing 10000.00?

Hi Karthik, thanks for the useful info posting. I found a small correction in the ESI coverage of employees drawing wages up to Rs.10,000/- per month engaged either directly or through a contractor.

Coverage of employees drawing wages up to Rs.10,000/- per month engaged either directly or through a contractor. Employee's gross amount margin is 15,000 .

Compliance Requirements for Retail Businesses

In the case of a retail business (showrooms), which additional acts are applicable? If we are adhering to compliance, do we have to maintain some sort of special records for each act of our HR policies, or are the salary files and accounts sufficient for satisfying the officer from respective departments? Kindly advise.

Please update the ESI limit to 15,000, as per the update by May 2010, which is not reflected in your attached checklist.
