I have been informed by the local Conciliation Officer-cum-R.L.C. (Central) that the Central Govt. has declared the steel and iron industries as public utility services for an indefinite period under the I.D. Act by notifying in the Gazette of India. However, based on my practical knowledge, any industrial establishment falling under the 1st Schedule appended to the I.D. Act may typically be declared as a public utility service for a temporary period of 6 months upon receipt of an application from the management for such a purpose. Can any of my friends provide me with a scanned copy of the Gazette notification mentioned by the local R.L.C. (Central)?
