Hi everyone,
I am pursuing an MBA in Marketing and HR, and I am currently in the 4th semester. I have a 2-month vacation, and I want to utilize this time to do something that adds to my professional profile. One of my faculty members told me about SAP; he mentioned that SAP certification would give me a competitive edge and make it easier to secure a job.
I have some questions regarding SAP:
1. What is SAP?
2. In which cities is this course available?
3. Does it really help in obtaining a good job?
4. Is only the HR module sufficient, or should I opt for the full SAP program?
5. Is it beneficial for MBAs?
6. What are the probable fees for the full SAP program and the HR module of the SAP program?
I would appreciate your help with the above questions as I am eager to learn more about SAP to enhance my job opportunities.
Thank you.

Hi Priya,
You learn business skills, concepts, and methodologies in your MBA program, but nothing practical would you learn as you have never visited industries as a trainee/apprentice. Am I correct?
You learn them when you start working for any company.
SAP/Oracle or any ERP package, if you learn, you will learn practicals that are used for day-to-day implementation/support activities of a company's daily business.
You can look at your SAP training in two ways:
1) If you learn it now before getting any job, it helps you in just shortlisting your CV, but no one would give you SAP jobs to work upon as you are just a fresher. But, on the other hand, you may not understand SAP HR clearly because of no working experience.
2) While you start working, start taking weekend/online sessions on SAP after 6 months of your job. This is because you would have seen some practical daily work culture; this should help you understand SAP much more easily than before.
Added to it, start looking for a job on SAP after your 1 year of successful career anywhere, any industry, any city.
Understand?
We give SAP online trainings as we all are working professionals at Lehrer-India, an institute for SAP online education.
You are allowed to take 2 free seminars on SAP before enrolling with us. This helps you in understanding your faculty before you actually enroll for the course.
Try our trainings from industry experts. Do not think about SAP certification now itself as it carries no value to a fresher. It shall help you after 3 years of your SAP career.
Do well and best of luck for your results.
You can take sessions sitting at home on the internet and avoid traveling to places.
Course fees: 20,000/-
Course duration: 2+1 months (theory sessions + some project-based experience)
Contact me.
