Hi, I need some help. Please guide me, guys. I am using a 5-point scale to measure new joiner satisfaction through a set of 12 structured questions. I want to know which statistical tool I should use, as I need to check satisfaction on an individual basis, and my sample consists of 4-5 new joiners.
Another thing, I want the final answer presented in a manner like 5/10 or 7/10, etc. Please help me.

With only 12 questions and 4 to 5 responses, any statistical analysis would be meaning less. Is the tool that you are going to use a standard one or designed by you?

Thank you for your response. Actually, it will contain 12-15 questions on the following parameters:
1. Orientation
2. Training
3. Work culture & environment
4. Growth opportunities
5. Relationship with colleagues and managers
6. Job profile & responsibilities
7. Autonomy
I am considering using the Employee Satisfaction Index tool to calculate the rating of new joiners. Please suggest an alternative if this approach is not useful.

Thank you, Simhan. Please find the Excel sheet attached, which is the source I used to come to the conclusion to use this tool. Kindly let me know which method is the best, and I obtained this method from citehr. I filled out this questionnaire for understanding.
Methods in Use
There are two methods in use:
1. Average of rating
2. ESI
Please let me know which one is good.

Hey, for ESI, I had to use the formula, i.e., total rating * number of questions / 100. The filled questions were hypothetical. I just want to confirm before giving it to the employee: can it be used to understand satisfaction levels?
Thank you.

Thank you.

That's wrong. It should be (Total of rating / (Number of questions * 5)) * 100 if you were using equal weights for all the questions. That's what you have done in the other questionnaire (Total of rating / (Number of questions * 10)) * 100; 10 being the Max Rating for each question.

Contradictory Posts on Satisfaction Index
Your last two posts contradict each other. If everyone answers "5," does it not mean that all of them are extremely satisfied, giving 100% satisfaction? Any index should not depend upon the number of responses.
