The best thing is to procure Bare Acts of all employee-related labor laws and keep them in your personal care. Refer to them as frequently as possible; they are reasonably priced. Here is a list of some as attachments.

  • For a general coverage, I suggest you combine two authors. Firstly, look for the LL Book by Dr. PK Padhi. For specific precedents and forms, refer to Mr. S. D. Puri's book titled "Labour Management Forms & Precedents Law Practice & Procedure." The coverage found in these two books combined is pinpoint perfect and serves best in terms of effectiveness for regular reference. Below, I am providing the link to SD Puri's dedicated website. You may encounter some difficulty in obtaining a hard copy of his book, as it is rare these days.

  • If you wish to have all the Acts for reference purposes, the better idea is to buy all the bare acts, which are cheaper and handy. Some of them also have relevant forms appended thereto. If you want all in one, there are a few published books that may contain a section-wise compendium but would look like notes on labor laws with comments and cross-references here and there. Almost all acts could be downloaded from various websites. Please see attachments.
