Confused About Professional Tax for New Employees in February? Need Your Advice


Hi everyone, I am confused about one thing regarding PT for new employees. We have two new employees in the month of February, and according to my company's accounts team, the PT should be 300 for them too. Therefore, please advise.

For PT deduction year is taken as March to Feb If any employees, throughout the year PT deducted will come to Rs. 2,400/-, then in his case only the PT for month of Feb should be Rs. 300/-
