Having a separate, small notebook where one notes down their key achievements during the appraisal period also helps to ensure that they are captured during the performance appraisal, as well as areas of improvement. Another way is to ensure that the line manager has monthly one-to-one catch-up meetings with their team members where scrap notes can be taken and filed away for use at the end of the review period.

Another way is to ensure that the team leader holds regular one-on-one follow-up sessions with their team members, where feedback can be provided and documented for use at the end of the evaluation stage.
