Hi, I was working for six months as a management trainee in sales at a top Indian firm. Recently, I received an offer from another company in a different sector. My offer letter from the new company did not mention any bond or notice period. Despite this, I informed them one month prior to my departure. However, the HR manager is now harassing me and threatening legal action regarding integrity issues. He also mentioned using his sources to harm my career.

In my previous company, the offer letter stated that I could be terminated at any time during the probation period, providing no job security. Can such a situation be brought to court? How can I address these threats effectively?

Please ask your company's HR to go and jump into a volcano and spare the world from suffering him. Please, without any fear or worry, proceed ahead and join your new company; nobody will do anything. If your HR threatens you with legal action, kindly inform him that he may do the same and that you are ready to face him in court. If he harasses you further, then please tell him that you will file a case at the nearest local police station for criminal intimidation and extortion.

Please maintain written communication only. Kindly do not enter into any kind of verbal arguments. Avoid verbal arguments, and don't be afraid. Having fear is normal; overcome the fear. These kinds of people are a dime a dozen in the corporate world.

I am sorry, as I believe that I conveyed the wrong message. I personally do not encourage acts of violence. When I made a comment asking the HR manager to jump into a volcano, it was meant purely as sarcasm, and I never intended to encourage violence. The rest of my stance remains as earlier, so kindly use the legal and legitimate way of action suggested.

Regards,
Octavious
