Apart from the factors mentioned, there is certain reimbursement (medical - Rs. 800, communication - Rs. 800). Would this be added to my net salary if I claim? Also, there is a bonus of Rs. 800. When is the bonus generally paid, every month? Please clarify.

I don't understand about Basic - 4000?????

If the salary is 17,000/-, it comes to 23.5%.

In my company, the salary structure is as follows: Basic 40% of Gross Salary. On Basic Salary: - HRA 40/50% (according to Non-Metro/Metro city), Education & Children Rem. 30%, Conveyance Rem. 25%, Medical/LTA 8.33%, Performance A - Fixed 10% (Monthly), B. - Variable - 5% (Annually).

Suppose your salary is 34,000, then: Basic - 13,600, HRA - 3,400, Field Allowance - 2,470, Info. Chi Allowance - 2,040, Conveyance - 2,720, Communication - 500, Medical - 1,133, LTA - 1,133, PF - 780, Food Coupon - 500, Special Allowance - 5,724. Deductions are: LTA + PF = 1,913. Cash in Hand: 34,000 - 1,913 = 32,087.

Most companies in India indulge in such practices. They aim to reduce the employer's contribution towards PF. But is it a big deal to have the reduced PF amount by ₹200-₹300? Is this the sole reason for companies to reduce the basic amount?
