I'm looking for some fun and stress-busting, short-span activities of 2-5 minutes for employees with which we can start their day. I am an HR professional with a software company. Please help if somebody has such a list of activities.

You can have various activities like the Number Game where you ask the employees to form a group. Then, ask them to count from 1 to 99, instructing them that when they reach a number that is a multiple of seven, they should clap instead of saying the number. This will be a fun exercise and will help in increasing concentration. Anyone who says '7' or its multiple instead of clapping will be eliminated, and the counting will continue with the next member. The last person remaining will be the winner.
I could assist you further with team building and other exercises, but please let me know the goal you have in mind for these activities.

Motivating and Refreshing Sessions for Employees
The session has to be motivating and refreshing for the employees since it would be the start of the day. Normally, you can call employees individually and appreciate their previous day's performance or the tasks they performed well.
Weekly Activities
Weekly, you can conduct events like "Blue Dress Day," where employees are asked to dress in the color blue or participate in activities like keeping the bay clean or maintaining their respective workspaces with inspirational quotes. Additionally, consider recognizing the best employee within your team.
Festival Engagement
If any festival is approaching, share useful information and engage in small open chats.

Hi Megha, introduce a simple exercise along with light music for 5 to 8 minutes for all your employees and ask them to do it before starting work (maybe in the morning, afternoon, or night shift). It brings freshness to their work. We have implemented the same in our organization, and we found the results to be good.

You can have activities like the name game, where you start from one corner and ask each person to tell their name. The first person tells their name, followed by the second person telling the first person's name and then their own name. The third person tells the first and second person's names before stating their own name, and this continues until the 10th or last person, creating a chain of names. It is a very enjoyable and interesting game that only takes a few minutes and is quite refreshing too.

Blind Drawing Activity for Team Building
You can organize a blind drawing activity among small groups. Here are the steps to follow:
1. Prepare small paper chits printed with various pictures such as elephants on a ball, a Christmas tree with a star, a boat under a bridge, etc. Instead of single pictures, consider using combinations for added fun.
2. Divide the participants into two groups.
3. Ask one person to stand facing the board, and then have the team members select a chit. The person facing the board should not see the chosen picture. The entire team must then act out the picture, and the person must draw it on the board (similar to dumb charades art).
4. Repeat the process with the other team, and award points based on the quality of the drawing. The second team should select a different chit.
5. This game is quite enjoyable, and even shy individuals can participate, helping them overcome their inhibitions.
