Hi All, My director recently announced me as HR, but I didn't receive any letter regarding this. When I asked a senior, he mentioned that no letter would be provided, and the situation remains the same. Could you please advise me on whether I should inquire with my director about the letter?
Thanks,
J

What is your tenure with this company and what kind of hierarchy do you have in your department? When you say 'My Director' in your department, is it in HR? It also depends upon the time frame when he announced it and how it was done.
If everything went on an official basis, you should first check when your role will come into effect. If you have already moved into this function, how long have you been in this role? If you have already been introduced to the corporate team, through which authority was it done? So, it would be beneficial to calculate your time and probation—the general time-frame it takes in your company to issue a letter, the hierarchy you need to follow to approach your director, etc.
Don't jump or rush into things... good luck!

hai, we should know some tricky ways of our directors. You know that all managers are hr managers. Don’t worry. You 're always an hr manager. Regards georgie daniel

Handling responsibilities is different from an official announcement that declares you as an HR Manager. I would recommend that you take an appointment with your Director to discuss your role. Clarify whether it is official now or if you should wait for some more time. Inquire about when you can expect a signed letter, whether it will also lead to an improvement in your compensation, etc.
If you have an immediate superior between you and your director, consult with that authority first. Always remember to follow the proper hierarchy level.

Please mail him, thanking him for the promotion and mentioning the designation. Save a copy for yourself. In case he responds, it would serve as proof of the designation change and internal communication on it.
Please write it very gracefully so that he doesn't mind replying to it. Thank him for all the guidance he has offered you so far. Mention how his mentoring helped you reach this position and request further guidance from him.
Hope this works for you.

Hi All, Thank you for your valuable feedback and suggestions. I asked my director, and he told me that he will discuss it with my reporting manager. Till now, I haven't received any reply. If my designation remains the same, can I go ahead with HR responsibilities? Please advise.
