Excellent Basic narration about six sigma... Now if you can explain in detail about all the tools of Six Sigma, then it would have been very good..

Dear ... Application of Six Sigma in HR is a bit different and difficult from other areas which are easily amenable to measurment. The concept is partcularly useful where repetitive tasks are involved and tries to reduce the delay or errors or losses in the process. When we think of HR processes, one item that immediately comes to mind is the HR response time in dealing with employee requests or grievances. Let us say that a target is that the response time is fixed as 'TODAY ITSELF', that means any employee application comes to HR it would be dealt and replied that day itself. Hence there will be nothing which is pending for the next day. Such prompt service will be appreciated and would go a long way in enhancing employee satisfaction. However a word of caution!!!! Since we essentially deal with human beings, they cannot be reduced to mere numbers and such an approach could be counter productive. Regards. KK
