Summer Safety Precautions for Boiler Workers

What precautions or extra care (simple ideas) are needed in summer for boiler workers? For example:

1. Arrangement of cooler
2. Compulsory work break after an interval of 30 minutes
3. Displays showing the impact of heat stress for awareness

Dear Abhay, First of all, sorry for the late reply. As it's year-end, I'm quite busy these days.

The main problem while working in peak summer days or near hot atmospheres is dehydration. There are many tips available on the internet. Just go to Google and search for "Prevention against dehydration."

However, a good write-up from the net has been uploaded by Mr. SSB. I appreciate SSB and thank you for your participation. Very good and looking forward to the same in the future. One trend I have observed in our forum is that everyone wishes to receive replies to their threads but does not participate in other threads started by forum members. I request everyone to participate in more threads, even with a word of appreciation. This will definitely help increase our forum participation.

Now, Abhay, let me tell you one thing. The three points you mentioned are so valid and more than enough to ensure safe working in hot areas if successfully implemented practically. Work rotation is essential. If you can provide a rest area near the workplace for these workers, that will serve the purpose, I think. In this rest area, you may arrange for water availability.

I hope I have answered your query and also request that you bring topics to our forum for which solutions are not easily available on the internet. You are a dynamic member of this forum, and I hope you will take what I said in a positive spirit.

Kind regards,

Yes, definitely. As soon as I receive all the technical information, I'll update it for all of you.

Present Information

It is a jelly-type bag/jacket, which needs to be kept in the refrigerator before use. After wearing the jacket, it will provide a cooling effect to the body, lasting almost 4-5 hours.
