Hi Viewers/Repliers,

I am an M.B.A. Graduate through correspondence. I am weak in numbers, which is more important to HR people. Currently, I am working in a software company as a Management Trainee (HR), and there are no HR managers in my company. The employee relations with management are very poor, and my boss is only focused on money at present, which is concerning. I don't know how to develop my company in a positive way. I kindly request replies and advice on how to develop my career in HR.

WAITING FOR A REPLY IN ANTICIPATION.

Hi,

Don't be disappointed with numbers. You need to discuss HR issues with your manager. Apart from revenue generation, he needs to develop his organization and people as well. I have seen people come from finance and teaching backgrounds, shift to HR, and do well.

Good luck! Gauri

Since you have all the basic know-how of HR, go back to your basics. Take on one thing at a time regarding your firm's policies that you are not happy about. Do some research and development (R&D) and prepare a new process that you believe would be beneficial for all. Present it to your boss and then proceed from there. What is life without challenges? You will make a great HR manager. Have faith in your abilities.

Hi,

Both of your replies really relieved me from what I am going to do. One thing I remembered is, "When God solves your problem, you have faith in His abilities; when He doesn't solve your problem, He has faith in your abilities."

I am not good in Excel formulas. If known, please help me out to improve. Waiting for a reply.

Regards,
