Hi Sai,
Recruitment is the process of discovering the right person for the anticipated position. If you say recruitment is an activity, recruiting is the process for that. If you identified the right person for a position and you have hired him, then we say that a person has been recruited for the position.
I think I have answered your question. If you have any queries, feel free to reach me.

Hi,
Recruitment is a process of identifying the manpower needs, understanding the job description, and job specification. Based on the above information, you start recruiting by searching for candidates using the details provided. Once you find a suitable candidate, you recruit them, which means you place the candidate.
I hope this will meet your needs.

Hi Sai,
Recruitment - NOUN
Recruitig - Doesn't exist
Recruiting - is used in present/past continuous tense
Recruited - is used in past tense.
Thank you!
Sometimes you should not try to find a big meaning out of those thick HR books with jargon!
:-)

Dear Sai,
Akhil has actually said it all, but finally we follow back on HR references, so:
Manpower Planning: is the process of identifying the right person for the right job at the right time. Manpower Planning is also known as Human Resource Planning or Staffing.
Recruitment is attracting a pool of candidates to apply for the job in esteemed organizations.
Selection is a negative process where you try to find out whether the prospective candidate is actually fit for the job or not.
I hope this information is of help.
Regards,
Deepali.
