I am a new member, and a few of my friends and I have started a new consultancy firm for HR. We are from an IT background and don't have any experience in HR. We need your help on how to acquire our first clients and where to search for job seekers. This includes assistance with contract agreements, drafting an introduction letter for the company, and guidance on how to maintain all company and job seeker data, etc.

Dear All,
I am also working as a freelance recruitment consultant, and in the process of business dimensioning, I have interacted with some individuals who have asked for freelance recruiters by posting their ads here on this portal. To my surprise, most of them are requesting a security fee/deposit/membership/franchisee fee, which seems very unethical to me. Even 10k is a significant amount for me, which was asked for.
I want to ask the senior members if this is the typical way consultancies engage freelance recruiters and if such security measures exist, and if so, for what purpose?
