Hello members, my friend has been working in a chartered accountant's office for the last six months. Now, she has received a good job offer from a reputed company. However, her boss is not willing to let her go. Even if he agrees to release her, he is reluctant to provide her with an experience certificate. What should she do in this situation? Your urgent advice is greatly appreciated.

Hello Slaxmi, 6 months isn't a very long period in the overall career span. Just ask your friend (I won't be surprised if it's you actually) to explain the situation to the new employer. Since she was selected after just 6 months of experience (she is as good as a fresher), it shouldn't be tough to convince them. But tell her to ensure that she doesn't leave any work unfinished with her present employer—irrespective of whether the boss follows basic ethics or not, it's imperative that your friend follows through.
When she gains over 3 years of experience, this 6-month period wouldn't really matter for the next job change.
