Hey,

There are many openings in the current scenario. First, identify which gamut of HR you want to pursue. Then identify a bunch of industries which are in line with your interest.

Directly try to get in touch with the HR and check whether they have any openings. That's the better way to get a job based on your preferences.

If not, and you want any role to start your career, you need to get in touch with your seniors and through known sources where there are 90% possibilities for you to step into the field.

The third option is through portals. Update your profile regularly so that recruiters will find your profile on top.

The final one is through consultants. I don't think all consultants will help you to get a place. Instead of sending to random consultants, try to send your profile to leading consultants.

Getting a job is not easy. Try hard until you succeed and don't give up.

Hope this will be useful to you.

All the best for your future endeavors.

Christopher

Hello Pinky,

Smile, it's Shivendra. Firstly, welcome to our HR world. Don't worry, a job will be yours. Go through portals and try to get trained in a particular HR function of your interest. Grab whatever you get in the beginning without any regards to salary and growth prospects. A six-month stint in the industry will provide you with a divine insight. Be truthful and open because it is a phase of learning.

Carry on discussions with us and other people in the forum and around you.

All the best.

With regards,
Shivendra

Hi Pinky,

First thing you should do is put your resume on job portals like Naukri, Shine, and others. Remember, there are very few chances of getting a job through just one method. Explore alternative options such as leveraging your personal contacts, seeking help from seniors, regularly meeting with your placement coordinator at your institute, and sharing your resume with nearby external placement agencies.

Remember, a proactive approach and utilizing different avenues can increase your chances of landing a job successfully. Good luck!

Dear seniors,

How do I get an HR fresher job? In what way should I learn and proceed for the job? My educational qualifications are BBA (2005), MBA Finance (2010), and MBA HR pursuing the final year. My experience was in sales and marketing, close to five years. I was in the aviation field for some months. Will HR recruit me for a process of an HR executive job?

Thank you.

Dear HR Freshers,

There are local newspaper classifieds for local vacancies in private companies, and there are even special issues for the metro cities. Please make inquiries at the bookshops for these issues. Try for government companies for Management Trainee positions, go through the Employment News. As an unsolicited candidate, submit your CV by mail or hard copy to the companies. Get in touch with consultants. Register on portals like Naukri.com, Timesjob.com, Monster India, etc.

If you want to work abroad, then arrange your passport if you don't have one now. All the best.

Hi Friends,

My name is Fonseca, and I have recently completed my MSW in Human Resource Management (May 2010). I have been trying to secure a HR job for the past six months. I have utilized all available resources, including reaching out to my seniors and exploring job portals. Unfortunately, I feel unlucky as I have not yet found the right opportunity. As a fresher, I am willing to take on any HR function and am eager to learn. I am based in Chennai and am specifically looking for job opportunities in Chennai itself. If anyone comes across an opening in your organization, please feel free to email me or contact me.

Thanks in advance,

Fonseca Depores.

Dear Freshers,

This is Balaji from Chennai, working as a recruiter in a firm. As all our experts have advised, be particular in choosing a line in the HR field. Enter a field where you will be treated as a trainee, gain knowledge rather than expecting a salary. Try to learn as much as you can. After a period of time, you will be the leader in your field. All the best.

In case of any queries, email me.

Start with an HR Consultancy Job

Start with an HR consultancy job. You will get a wide aspect of every field of HR. Many consultancies provide HR services to big MNCs. They are appointed to look after compliance and other matters. They also conduct audits in the firm. I think that is the best way to start your career.
