Yes this differs from company to company and the general practice as per my company follows ...
CL - 12 days in a year , one CL per month. This is given in the begining of the year for confirmed employees.
PL - 2.5 days per month viz 30 days in a year. This get accrued at the end the financial year therefore the person gets 30 days + last years EL balance - PL availed in the year.

Yes it varies from Industry to Industry. The laws says the total of PL, CL and SL should be equal to more than 30 days which generally adjust according to their policies.
As per my Company we have
CL = 6 (0.5 per month)
SL = 6 (")
PL = 20 (1.66 per month)
Out of the above three PL abd SL can be transferred to next year but CL gets Lapsed.

That depends on the leave calendar u follow. Again this is a question if it is a calendar based leave..
So in short while creating the leave type, u can describe it whether it is calendar based or non calendar based, if it is calendar based then u can define the period.

I am working in IT MNC and we are in gulf from past one year at the time while coming here we did'nt ask any policy from our company, Now we raised this issue and they comeup with policies like:
Leave policy: 10days annual and 2 Days sick Leave
No Travel expenses, we have to take care of that
Please let me know how and what to ask them according to the law if any.
