Dear Friends,

I worked in a PSU for 7.5 years and then worked in an IT company in Mumbai for 9 months. I am presently working in another IT company for the past 3 years.

I've applied for PF transfer in the present company through Form 13. I received information that my PF from the IT company in Mumbai has been transferred to my present PF account. However, since there is no amount in my first PSU account, it was not transferred.

Now, I am concerned about my pension fund. The IT company in Mumbai has informed me that it will also be transferred to the present PF office. The PSU company has advised me to obtain a scheme certificate from the PF office for the service I rendered there.

Please advise me on the next steps.

Thanks,
Satish Kumar

Dear Satish Kumar,

You have worked for 7.5 years in a PSU, and now there is no amount to transfer? That means you might have withdrawn that amount either in service or after completion of service. Then check whether you have withdrawn EPS benefit as well. If not, you may apply for either a scheme certificate or transfer of EPS.

Dear Abbas,

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I have withdrawn the PF amount and not the pension amount, and it is a PF trust. Now, how do I transfer the pension service and amount so that my total service will be in one place.

Dear Satish Kumar,

Please fill out Form 13 with your complete employment history and submit it to the relevant offices of the Regional PF Commissioner through your current employer. The PF offices will then prepare Annexure K based on your previous details and notify the current Regional PF Office.

Regards,
Abbas
