I used to work for e-serve intl in Mumbai for 9 months and left on 20th June 2005. I have not withdrawn my PF yet, and they have not provided me with a PF account number. How can I claim this amount? Am I eligible for the interest? Can I send a letter to the company asking for the annex of the deposit made and the accumulation?

Dear Sunni,

An employee whose salary has been deducted can apply for provident fund at any time in their lifetime. Write a letter to your previous organization asking for the provident fund number, fill out forms 10c & 19, and send them. You can get these forms from [EPFO](http://www.epfindia.com). Visit the site for more information.

Thank you for the reply. I live in Bangalore now, not in Mumbai. I don't know my PF account number. I left Mumbai in March 2010, and before leaving the city, I had gone there and submitted the forms. They returned the form asking for many documents like my PAN card, voter's ID card, relieving letter, photo ID verification from the bank, which is not a salary account. Why do they need all these? I just don't think they want to give it to me. I have only one account now, which is my salary account. What's the problem in getting money transferred to that bank? Also, am I eligible to receive my company's contribution as well since it's been 5 years?

Hi, I do have a PAN card with me, and I have a salary account with Axis Bank. However, the documents that they have mentioned say that it should not be a salary account. I don't have any other account. I can also get a photo ID verification from the bank. Additionally, I found some photocopies of my e-serve company ID card yesterday. Can I furnish all these?
