I am working as a management trainee in an automobile company. Can you suggest some interview questions that are commonly asked regarding statutory compliances and time office management?

Thanks & Regards,
Charu

Some statutory compliance-related questions:

- What is DA?
- What is the formula for Gratuity Calculation?
- What are the recent amendments in PF & ESI?
- What is the ceiling for PF & ESI?
- How is PF calculated?
- What is the calculation for Bonus?
- Is Bonus compulsory? Which Act governs this?
- Which Act determines the non-applicability of ESI?

In a broad aspect, we don't talk about traditional elements; rather, HR managers focus on:

1. What kind of working environment exists in an organization.
2. How talents can be nurtured better than in other places.
3. Compensation and benefits provided to employees, along with a focus on motivational incentives.
4. The process of grooming employees' talents through HR development elements.

Refer to HR practices in Google, RBE (Reliance), BHEL, etc.

Dear Pauli John,

The role of an HR manager in recruitment and selection is very vital. It involves several key responsibilities:

1. Advertising for specific candidates required for particular jobs.
2. Scrutinizing the candidates' resumes.
3. Shortlisting candidates for interviews.
4. Calling the shortlisted candidates for interviews.
5. Rating interviews and shortlisting candidates for the final round.
6. Fixing pay packages for the selected candidates.
7. Hiring all candidates who pass the final round.
8. Evaluating whether training is needed.
9. Observing their daily performance.

Thank you.
