Sir,

I have joined a new company and want to withdraw my PF amount from my previous company. The major difference is the joining date and relieving date. Does it play a major role in withdrawing the amount from the PF account?

Hi,

You can claim your PF amount only after two months from the date of release from your last employment. You need to fill out Form 19 to withdraw the total PF amount and have it signed by your last employer. If you want to transfer the PF to a new organization, you need to fill out Form 13.

I am sure this information can help you.

Thank you for your message. However, I am still unclear about the joining and relieving date difference. I have completed a two-month difference period between the newly joined company. What documents are required to be submitted with Form 19?

Hi,

Only Form 10C and Form 19 have to be deposited to your previous employer. No other document is required, you need to fill the details asked in the form where your PF number will be requested.

I do agree with you. But what about the joining date and relieving date? See, the day I left my previous company was 15th Jan, but as per the HR service letter, it is 2nd Feb. While my joining date in the new company is 26th Jan. So, will this difference in dates affect my PF refund? I am worried about this date difference factor.

Hi,

Attached is Form 13, which is used for PF transfer. PF transfer is done by the present employer, not the previous employer. If you wish to transfer the PF accumulations, please fill out this form and submit it to your payroll/HR/finance department. The only two details you need to fill in the form are:

1. Your PF Account number: The PF account number should be the one you wish to transfer (i.e., the PF number from the previous organization), which can be found on your salary slip.
2. Address of the PF Office: The address of the PF office is where the PF used to be deposited by the organization.

I hope this information helps you.

Shiva

You have to go by the date mentioned by the Organisation. To cross verify you may check the LWD as in the last PF Contribution made by your previous employer. Regards,
