From this year onwards, there is negative marking in UGC NET for objective questions. As far as books are concerned, you can buy Trueman Publications books meant especially for UGC NET. There will be two books from this publication house. One is a general book for all streams, which includes reasoning, general knowledge, number series, teaching aptitude, etc., along with sample question papers. The other is your subject book, i.e., management book, which will include the syllabus for your objective and subjective paper.

Hi There are three papers in UGC-NET. This year there was no -ve marking in paper 1 & paper 2 and third paper is subjective so there cant be negative marking.
